Parameter Identification of Commercial Li-ion Batteries with Marine Predator Algorithm

Abstract

The accurate identification of Li-ion battery models is important to ensure efficient and safe operating conditions. In this work, we propose two generalized fractional-order models to characterize two coin-shaped Li-ion batteries. A Staircase Potentio-Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (SPEIS) test is used to perform characterization at different open-circuit voltages while charging and discharging the batteries. Parameter identification of the proposed models on the measured data is performed with Marine Predator Algorithm (MPA) showing excellent matching. © 2021 IEEE.
